If you can remember yourself as a child, watching grown ups put on make-up before they left for work, you’re not that different from Lauren Young. “I was exposed to make-up at such a young age that I’ve grown to love it,” the actress shared when we caught up with her at the live chat session for “Mundo Mo’y Akin”. “I find it fascinating how make-up can transform a person, and how it can make you look and feel more beautiful,” she added. It’s clear that she has a keen interest with cosmetics as the actress said she’d aim to be a make-up artist if she had to take on a different job. “Natutuwa ako sa mga make-up artist pag inaayusan nila ako, baka nga nakukulitan na sila sa akin kasi tanong ako nang tanong. Gusto ko kasing malaman kung anong ginagawa nila para makuha yung certain look,” she gushed.
If you’d ask Lauren for make-up tips, she’d say that being simple is still the best way to go. “You don’t have to put on a lot of make-up to look beautiful. For me, the less you have on, the better,” she relayed. “Just remember to keep your eyebrows clean. I also try to keep myself hydrated so I drink lots of water.” The actress also emphasized that getting adequate rest works wonders for your complexion. “I try to get as much sleep as I can and I always try to work out regularly.”
Lauren is as vile as can be as Darlene, her character in Mundo Mo’y Akin. Although she plays the antagonist role to the hilt, Lauren reveals that she gets along well with her co-stars, Louise delos Reyes and Alden Richards. “It’s really fun to work with them kasi we’ve become good friends,” she shared. “I just do the most that I can with my role kasi if you think about it, it’s quite a challenge to make people hate you but still make them love you as an actress. Tsaka ako kasi natutuwa ako pag naiinis sila sakin as Darlene kasi it means that I’m doing my job well,” Lauren stated.
