He was mocked and hated before but fans will love him now. In Indio, Lucho Ayala played the young Señor Juancho Sanreal, the main antagonist in the series; in “Binoy Henyo”, he plays Jaime Sandoval, the younger brother of Francis Sandoval (Luis Alandy) who happens to be the father of a child prodigy.
“Mabait ako ngayon,” Lucho happily said at our recent interview with him. Since his new role seemed like the polar opposite of his former character, we asked him which type of role he preferred to play. “For me easier ito kasi mabait naman talaga ako in nature,” Lucho laughed.
We learned that the Kapuso star has loved acting since he was a senior in high school. “Sumali kasi ako sa theater plays nung fourth year ako tapos yun, tuloy-tuloy na from there,” he related. The star is so passionate about his craft that he chooses to immerse himself in watching movies during his free time. “Movie person din kasi talaga ako, meron pa nga akong collection ng classic films.”
The actor then went on to share some of the films that he loved the most. Lucho clearly has a taste for gangster films and it’s no wonder that he’d like to play one in the future.
Would a gangster movie be his top pick if he were going on a movie date? “Kayong mga girls kasi mabilis kayong matakot so andun naman kaming mga guys to reassure you na okay lang to watch the scary scenes. Para may chance naman kaming ipakita that we can be sweet and caring."
Sensing that the Kapuso star was picturing that particular date in his mind, we asked him who he wanted to ask out if he were given the chance to woo any girl in the world. “Wow! Anyone?” Lucho exclaimed. “Siguro si Miranda Kerr, I’d like to be with her on a date.
With his easy charm, talent and humility, we’re sure that this actor will go far. Catch Lucho in Binoy Henyo on weekdays after 24 Oras.
