Kylie Padilla unable to tape for 'Adarna'; Benjamin Alves visits her in the hospital
Jan 20, 2014
Early this morning, the executive producer of the GMA Telebabad show Adarna got a call from the camp of Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla. The executive producer was told that Kylie was not feeling very well. The taping was immediately packed up today.
In the said teleserye, the lead character Ada (played by Kylie) rescues people in need of help and she also has the power to heal the sick. But as it turned out, the Kapuso actress was the one who needed help this time.
Kylie’s leading man Benjamin Alves was on his way to their taping when he learned about what happened. Being a concerned and gentleman co-star that he is, he immediately visited his leading lady in the hospital. In a text message, the actor said, “For me, I just did what I did because I just want to make sure my friend is okay.”
The cast members of Adarna have become very close after working with each other for several months now. In fact, last weekend, the lead stars of the show even bonded during two separate Kapuso mall shows held in Cagayan de Oro and Marilao, Bulacan.
During mall shows, tapings, and events, they would always laugh at each other’s jokes, share stories about their day, or just goof around. Indeed, their closeness transcends their on-camera duties and roles. It seems that the wonderful camaraderie among them is one of the many reasons behind the show’s success.
Thanks to Benjamin Alves for being a good friend to Kylie today. And to Kylie, get well soon!
Indeed, superheroes are not the only ones present in times of trouble. Friends can also help each other in little ways all the time.
