GMA Network, in partnership with Anak TV and Alalay sa Pamilya at Bayan Foundation (APB), organized a special treat for teachers – a GMA tour plus learning sessions – to celebrate the World Teachers' Month on October 5 at the GMA Network headquarters.

The event dubbed as 'Teach. Learn. Inspire.' aimed to enhance the teachers' teaching strategies by encouraging them to use media in the classroom and to incorporate values education in academic lessons. The speakers included Ms. Teresa Pacis, AVP for Coporate Affairs, and Professor Leon Peckson from the University of Asia and the Pacific.

Elementary and high school teachers who attended the event came from San Jose High School, Legarda Elementary High School, Antonio Regiedor Elementary School, Isabel Reyes Elementary School, Ernesto Rondon High School, and Bagong Barrio National High School – Annex.

"['Yung] TV, 'yung mga media, YouTube, lahat 'yan actually hindi po kalaban. Makakatulong din po sa inyo. You are more equipped to be a good teacher and to help your student answer their curiosity," Anak TV President Elvira Y. Go addressed them.

The teachers also toured the Network’s facilities and had the chance to meet and greet some Kapuso artists.

Also present were APB Chairman/President Annabel P. Brown to join their Campaign for Character Education Tenacity or CACHET program that empowers pubic school communities, youth, parents and teachers through character formation, Anak TV, Inc. Chairman Edgardo C. Roces, and the organization’s trustees Mr. Bob del Rosario and Ms. Edith del Rosario.

"Teach. Learn. Inspire." is part of GMA Network’s support to Metrobank Foundation’s National Teachers’ Month campaign.
