Broadcast company GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) recently promoted several officers to new positions.

GMA Network promotes new executives

 

 

Regie Bautista was recently appointed as First Vice President of Corporate Planning, which is in charge of defining overall corporate strategic objectives for the Network. She is concurrently First Vice President of Program Support, overseeing the Network’s multi-platform marketing promotions, creative services, media and on-air continuity, and digital media divisions. Under her leadership, the Network’s Program Support Department has grown GMA Network's website into the country's leading website in conjunction with GMA News Online, grew GMA Network's online communities, and garnered multiple recognitions from local and international award-giving bodies such as PromaxBDA and the New York Festivals. Bautista has been with GMA since 2002.

 

Also appointed as Vice President for Radio Operations was Glenn Allona, who will concurrently serve as Vice President for RGMA Network, Inc., a subsidiary of GMA managing its provincial radio and television relay stations. As the new VP for Radio, Allona will continue to manage the operations of the GMA Radio Group, leading it to greater strength and growth in the future while bringing in his 25 years of experience in the radio industry.  Allona is credited with leading the re-branding and launch of the Network’s FM station in Mega Manila (Barangay LS 97.1) and Barangay FM stations nationwide, which resulted in higher ratings and revenues, as well as numerous awards and recognition. Allona joined Radio GMA in 1996.

Darling de Jesus was named Vice President and Head of GMA Entertainment’s Business Development Department III. She will continue to lead the production of different musical, variety, magazine and special programs, and will oversee the over-all functions of GMA’s BDD III. De Jesus joined the GMA Entertainment Group in 1998 and rose through the ranks before becoming Assistant Vice President of the same department prior to her latest appointment. She was an important figure behind the success of notable and top-rating Kapuso programs SOP, Pinoy Pop Superstar, and Celebrity Duets, among others.

Also recently promoted to higher positions are Janine Piad-Nacar to Senior Assistant Vice President, Business Development Department II - Comedy, Infotainment, Game and Reality Productions (Entertainment Department); Mercedes Macy Sueña to Senior Assistant Vice President, Financial Management Systems Division (Finance Department); Ma. Victoria Valenzuela to Assistant Vice President, Traffic Division (Finance Department); Edwin Jimenez to Assistant Vice President, Infrastructure Systems Division (Information and Communications Technology Department); Adoracion Lapada to Assistant Vice President, Application Systems Division (Information and Communications Technology Department); and Remedios Reyes to Assistant Vice President, Central Library and Archives Management Division (Information and Communications Technology Department)
