Senator Nancy Binay lauded GMA Network for its latest achievement after the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) recognized the media giant as the Outstanding Television Station during VACC’s 19th Founding Anniversary last August 16.
In a statement, Sen. Binay said the award is “another testament of GMA 7’s continued dominance as a major commercial broadcast and satellite television network through its consistent and excellent production of quality and relevant news program”.
Sen. Binay, who serves as the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Social Justice, Welfare and Rural Development, underscored GMA-7’s faithfulness to its motto “Walang kinikilingan. Walang Pinoprotektahan. Serbisyong totoo lamang.”
“And this year,” Sen. Binay said, “the VACC again recognized your commitment to public service, especially in your efforts to expose crime and corruption.”
GMA Network dominated this year’s list of VACC awardees, winning seven of the nine major honors in both television and radio categories. On top of the Outstanding Television Station award for GMA-7, the network’s flagship AM radio station DZBB took home the Outstanding Radio Station award.
