Some of them can be used in many everyday dishes like the humble squash blossom.

Squash blossoms are edible flowers from the squash plant. They taste a bit like squash and are rich in beta-carotene, Vitamin C, and calcium.

They are also highly perishable and must be consumed or cooked immediately.

Chef Kathrine Donila shared two of her recipes using these squash blossoms.
