According to the website of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cleft lip and cleft palate are birth defects that occur when a baby’s lip or mouth do not form properly during pregnancy.
In a moving Instagram post yesterday, June 6 Aly shared that when he was growing up he was bullied and mocked by other kids because of his cleft lip.
He shared, “As a child growing up I was teased and mocked by other kids because of my cleft lip. They would call me names left and right but I was fortunate enough that I had a doctor who performed good surgery and I was able to carry on and live life normally.”
“Thank you Operation Restore Hope for making me an ambassador in this journey to inspire kids and put a smile on their faces forever!”
Aly’s rumored girlfriend KC Concepcion couldn't be happier after the former Philippine Azkal team captain was made ambassador of this charity.
Netizens also congratulated the football athlete for this latest milestone in his life and they were ecstatic that he will be helping a lot of kids through this organization.
