In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, we asked the Kapuso actor about his reason why he got back to playing the sport.

As the son of PBA legend Benjie Paras, basketball truly is in Andre Paras' blood, which is why he's back on the hardcourt after a two-year lay-off.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, we asked the Kapuso actor about his reason why he got back to playing the sport.

"My former coach asked me if I wanted to play for him. I said yes to give it a shot even if I was out of shape and out of competitive basketball for almost 2 years," Andre answered.

Currently, he is playing for AMA Online Education in the PBA D-League. How does Andre feel now that he's playing professionally once more?

According to him, "I feel great because I get to play the sport I fell in love with and also get to enjoy the competitive action."

Andre also shared that his dad and younger brother Kobe were both happy and supportive of his decision to return to the sport. He also assured his fans that his decision to pursue his basketball career will not affect his acting career.
