Congratulations, mga Kapuso!
GMA bagged several awards at the 2017 Platinum Stallion Media Awards. The winners were chosen by the students, alumni, faculty, staff, and stakeholders of Trinity University of Asia.
Veteran broadcast journalist Jessica Soho was named Best Female News Anchor while Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho received the Best Magazine Program award. State of the Nation Address is this year’s Best Primetime News Program, while I-Witness is the Best Documentary Show of 2017. Magpakailanman won the Best Drama Anthology award.
GMA’s comedy programs were also recognized: Bubble Gang won Best Gag Show and Pepito Manaloto was named Best Situational Comedy Program.
People vs. The Stars won Best Game Show for this year. Its host Iya Villania bagged the Best Female TV Personality for Lip Sync Battle Philippines.
In the radio category, Mike Enriquez is the Best Male AM Broadcast Journalist. While DZBB received the Best AM Radio Station award.
Paolo Ballesteros is named Best Film Actor for Die Beautiful.
Other notable citations include: Jiggy Manicad (Most Trusted Male Reporter), Born To Be Wild (Values-Oriented Program), Eat Bulaga (Best Entertainment Program), and GMA Network (Best Regional TV Network).
The awarding ceremony will be held on April 22, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the University Theater of Trinity University of Asia, Quezon City.
