Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2017 Teresita Ssen “Wyn” Marquez packed her bags and is all set to compete as the first-ever Filipina and the only Asian candidate in Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 on November 4 (Saturday) at the Salon Siriono dela Feria Exposicion in Bolivia.

The Kapuso star is flying to New York and Panama before landing in Santa Cruz where the beauty pageant will take place.

Wyn’s brother Yeoj and her Tita Aileen will accompany her, while Kapuso star Mark Herras, the Kapuso actress' boyfriend, can’t come.

“Good luck sa laban mo! Sobrang proud kaming lahat sa iyo. Father God, please bless this amazing woman, maging safe sila sa mga pupuntahan nila at [huwag niyo] po silang pababayaan,” Mark shared his wish for his beauty queen girlfriend.

The Philippines' bet’s mentor, Jonas Gaffud, recalled her journey from the start. “She was introduced to me by John Paul Dizon because she always wanted to be a beauty queen. Finally after many years, she is carrying the Philippine sash to South America. [I’m] so proud of you, Reina Filipinas,” he wrote.
