Eugene Domingo returns to theater via the Filipino adapation of American playwright Marsha Norman’s ‘Night, Mother.
The Celebrity Bluff and Dear Uge host ends her five-year hiatus from the playhouse with a stellar portrayal of Jessie in the 1983 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama at the PETA Theater.
A post from the theater company read, “Domingo performs the role of Jessie, a divorced woman suffering from epilepsy who reveals to her mother Thelma (essayed by Lara) of her plans to end her life.”
The play delves into the sensitive topics of mental health and suicide.
PETA Theater offers ‘Night Mother as its 50th season finale. It will run from February 2 to March 18.
