Instead of being happy for Kelsey Merritt, some netizens are posting negative comments after the Filipino-American model's Victoria's Secret booking was confirmed.

Kelsey will be the first Pinay to walk in the popular Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. That's why her fellow model, Kapuso star Michelle Dee, doesn't understand why some people are creating issues about the Filipino pride.
"Well, I think everybody has the right to their own opinion pero I feel like we should all just be proud that Kelsey is representing our country especially because Victoria's Secret is like the Olympics of modeling," told Michelle in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.
According to Michelle, whether Kelsey looks like a Pinoy or not, Filipinos should be just thankful. She explained, "She's still Pinay inside and she's still carrying the flag. It's just a really proud moment for us Filipinos so I think kalma muna 'yung bashers."
Michelle and Kelsey were launched by Bench at the same time so the Kapuso star really knows how hardworking the Victoria's Secret model is. "We've known each other for a while. And she worked really hard for it. Alam niya 'yung goal niya and she didn't allow distractions to come in. It took her a while [but] look where she is now," she ended.
