Maricris Garcia thinks staying power is more important than fame in show business.
Kapuso singer Maricris Garcia is celebrating her birthday and her 11th anniversary in the music industry with her first solo concert titled MAR1CR1S, this coming September 29.
Maricris says her musical journey will be featured in this concert.
The Kapuso actress-singer said, “Since this is my very first solo [concert], mula po nung nagsimula ako nung Pinoy Pop Superstar.
"The show will showcase my journey from the start--bago ako sumali ng Pinoy Pop Superstar, lahat ng mga pinagdaanan ko, lahat ng mga projects, yung La Diva part, hanggang sa present.”
After almost 12 years in the industry, Maricris has faced several challenges and made some realizations.
The biggest challenge, she said, “Siguro yung mag-stay pa rin ako.”
She further, “Eleven years na ako rito, e, hindi siya madali. Sa akin, minsan yung pagiging artista or pagiging part nitong showbiz, hindi siya palaging kailangan sikat na sikat ka.”
“Siguro mas okay yung may staying power. Yung nandiyan ka pa rin kahit na sino na yung bagong dumating, ikaw nandiyan ka pa rin.”
In her concert, Maricris will be sharing the stage with Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez, Mark Bautista, and Nar Cabico.
