During the question-and-answer portion, Katarina was asked about what she can do to change the opinion of feminists who are against beauty pageants
The question read, “Some feminists believe that beauty pageants are form of women exploitation. What can you do to change their opinion?”
The 26-year-old beauty queen admitted that she used to have negative view about beauty pageants.
“I'd like to think that one should live by example and not by opinion.
“And I would like to admit that I'm one of those feminists before until I learned more on what beauty pageants are all about,” she said.
Katarina elaborated, “One thing I could tell you is that you may think that this (pageants) is very competitive. But in fact, you understand with pageants when you know that it is not very competitive towards other women, it's competitive towards yourself.”
“And it says a lot about women empowerment. On this group of girls, I've been with them for two months now, each girl knows that we are all individually beautiful.”
