For Rita Daniela every blessing in her life is part of God's perfect timing.

The Kapuso actress and singer reminisced on the days when she used to dream of the success she's having now with onscreen partner Ken Chan.

During the press conference for One of the Baes, Rita narrated how almost exactly a year ago, she was also in a press conference, for her unexpected breakout role as Aubrey in My Special Tatay.

“A year ago, sometime in September, [nandito ako] for My Special Tatay, same place, same time.

“I was also here but I wasn't his leading lady, I was just sitting doon sa dulo,” she said.

“That's why it feels so nostalgic to me kasi same time last year [nandito rin ako], 'tapos ngayon [isa na ako] sa huling lalabas, ako na 'yung huling ipapakilala,”she revealed.

Rita talked about how her life changed in one year, “Hindi ako sanay kasi nasanay na akong nakaupo ako sa gilid.

“That time rin my work that day was to sing the theme song of My Special Tatay.”

She looked back in amazement at how her career in TV has skyrocketed in a year.

“Isang taon, isang ganun lang ni God sobrang nag-iba siya talaga totally, hindi namin in-expect.”

Ken then added, “Kanina bago kami pumasok sabi ni Rita sa 'kin, 'Tayo na lang 'yung natitira, ganito pala 'yung pakiramdam. Hindi ako sanay, Ken.'

“'Tapos hinawakan niya 'yung kamay ko, 'tapos nag-pray kami doon sa labas kanina.”

He also shared how Rita taught him to be more prayerful. “Turo rin ni Rita sa 'kin, sa lahat ng ginagawa namin, ang pinakaimportante, ang pinakasentro talaga dapat si Lord.”
