Sa birthday lunch ng mga empleyado ng GMA early this month, isa si Sam Pinto sa mga special guests na pumunta sa event. Ipinakilala siya as one of the newest Kapuso leading ladies na mapapanood natin ngayon sa telebisyon. Ano ba ang dapat nating abangan kay Sam? Text by Loretta G. Bakit nga ba siya lumipat sa GMA? Did she have any second thoughts bago pa man siya lumipat? “Yes [I had second thoughts], because you know I came from ABS-CBN, that’s where I started talaga, but then Viva said I have lots of projects here and people are nice here so of course I trust them naman,” ang honest na sagot ni Sam sa iGMA.tv. And true enough, sunod-sunod nga ang mga naka-line-up na projects para sa kanya simula ng lumipat siya sa GMA. Una na siyang lumabas sa prime time show na Ilumina. Then at the event, it was announced that she will now be a mainstay of Bubble Gang . “Fun! (Laughing) I didn’t expect na ganun lang pala ka-light and easy siya,” ang sagot niya sa amin when she was asked kung kamusta ang experience niya sa longest running gag show ng bansa. “They are wacky, they're really funny. They’re actually really nice also parang hindi sila yung ine-expect ko na parang hindi ka na kakausapin. They’re really nice talaga,” ang sabi naman ni Sam about Ogie Alcasid and Michael V. Ano naman kaya ang masasabi ni Sam kay Senator Bong Revilla Jr. na leading man niya sa Agimat ni Enteng, an entry sa Metro Manila Film Festival? “Actually I’m so surprised because feeling ko sobrang very up-tight, very strict siya ganyan. But no he’s so cool as in usually dun lang kami sa tindahan tumatambay pag taping (laughing). He’s really cool, parang normal lang, very down to earth.” Hindi ba siya natatakot na ma-link sa actor/senator? “’Yun nga I heard lahat nga daw ng leading ladies niya nagkaka-issue. Well I guess it’s a given naman kasi leading lady nga eh, pero sana yung wife niya she has nothing to worry about,” ang sagot niya sa amin. Sa pagtatapos ng interview, she invited everyone to watch out for her upcoming projects in her new home. “To all Kapuso viewers please watch out for me in Bubble Gang they will launch me sa anniversary show nila, so that’s really exciting! Also, Agimat Ni Enteng, please watch out for that. We are still shooting for that but it will be out on Dec. 25. My character is super nice.
