Dong Hae was born by his mentally-deficient mother in the US. He returns to Korea for a short-track skating competition, and to marry his Korean girlfriend. But their marriage goes off as their relationship is ruined by her ambition. Dong Hae then moves on as he searches for his father, and finds a new love along the way.

She was adopted in the US by her Korean parents. She fell in love with a man named James whom she looks for in Korea while visiting with her son, Dong Hae.

She comes from a poor family, and works as a chef in a hotel. She was asked to meet Donghae and Anna in the airport and accompany them to the hotel. She takes care of Anna while they stay in Korea. She got off in a wrong foot with Donghae on the first time they met, but managed to stay friends with him along the way.

She’s Dong Hae’s girlfriend, and an ambitious TV announcer who wants fame under her name. She breaks up with Dong Hae because of his family– his lost father, and his ill mother.
