Patricia Tumulak hopes to learn new techniques from her co-actors in 'Magkaagaw.'
Playing the role of Gilda, an equally affluent woman in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Soap Magkaagaw, is beauty queen and Kapuso actress Patricia Tumulak.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, during the soap's pictorial shoot, the actress shares her excitement in her playing supporting cast.
She says, “I will be playing the cousin of Ms. Sheryl [Cruz], galing kami ng New York and I work for her also.
“So, medyo kontrabida siya and parang the devil's advocate ng character ni Ms. Sheryl.
“Which is awesome kasi I'm the complete opposite of Gilda. Kasi when it comes to my character, mas pinupush niya 'yung negative kay Ms. Sheryl and I'm not like that at all.
“Ako kasi 'yung person na laging dedma when it comes to negative situations.”
Patricia was one of the last few actors who were added to the star-studded roster that includes Sunshine Dizon, Sheryl Cruz, Alfred Vargas, Polo Ravales, and homegrown actors Klea Pineda and Jeric Gonzales.
“It was a last-minute thing, so my training ground is during at work na.
“It's an honor to be part of the cast kasi I worked with Ms. Sunshine na sa Inagaw na Bituin and with Ms. Sheryl, it's my first time.
“Siyempre, iniidolo mo lang sila dati tapos ngayon you're working with her most of the time na.
“Medyo pressured ako, but at the same time, I'm honored kasi I get to work with them and I learn 'yung mga techniques nila and 'yung professionalism nila.”
Unlike the lead cast, the former beauty queen and pre-school teacher confesses she's not an avid fan of spoilers--even when it comes to her own drama soap.
“Surprise pa siya for me!” she exclaims.
“I don't wanna know also para may surprise kasi you will never know what will happen.
“Ang daming pwedeng possible na mangyari, so abangan nating lahat 'yan.”
