Acclaimed film and TV director Mark A. Reyes V will be directing Kapusong Pinoy: Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn, the very first international Studio 7 Musikalye.

In an interview with GMA Pinoy TV, Direk Mark related why the upcoming musikalye is different from his other GMA Pinoy TV shows.

“The main difference of this production compared to the others we've done in Los Angeles, and in New York also, is the combination of actors here is, I think, a first-time mix,” Direk Mark said.

Studio 7 artists Christian Bautista, Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Kyline Alcantara, Golden Cañedo, Betong Sumaya, and Alden Richards are the headliners for the Brooklyn Musikalye.

“They have a common ground which is Studio 7, so dun pa lang they developed their rapport on stage, in their production and their performance.

“We're very excited with what we've come up with. We have not done anything that we've done in other shows.”

Direk Mark also took into consideration the Pinoys abroad who are looking for a piece of home through GMA Pinoy TV productions.

“We specialized the numbers for the Filipinos in Brooklyn.

“It's Mother's Day, so we also have a special Mother's Day number,” he said.

One thing we can look forward to in Kapusong Pinoy: Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn is camaraderie of Kapuso Filipinos abroad from home.

“So 'yung Bayanihan spirit, 'yung pagka-Musikalye, makikita nila sa show na ito.”
