Director Earl Ignacio on 'Overtime': Wala pa akong napanood recently na ganitong klase

Just like the lead actors, Richard Gutierrez and Lauren Young, Overtime co-director Earl Ignacio said that this film is nothing like any other locally-produced films.

Overtime’s script is written by its co-director, Wincy Aquino-Ong. According to Earl, Wincy approached him if he wanted to co-direct for GMA Films.

“Noong nabasa ko ‘yung script, masaya siya, exciting kasi kakaiba siya for a local movie. ‘Yung ganoong genre, parang wala pa akong napanood recently na ganitong klase kaya na-excite ako to do this project,” he said.

People are asking what they are going to expect from Overtime, so Direk Earl Ignacio gave a little information about the film for the Filipino moviegoers.

He shared, “Gaya ng sinabi ko kanina, medyo kakaiba siya for a local film, it's a suspense thriller. At the same time, medyo parang dark comedy rin siya.”

“May parts na nakakatawa pero hindi rin namin siya ipinilit. Hindi siya slapstick, hindi namin siya sinasadya. Nakakatawa lang yung how the characters react sa mga nangyayari sa kanila,” Direk Earl concluded.
