GMA Network and Regal Films strengthen partnership via renewal of contract

GMA Network strengthens its ties with one of the industry’s top filmmaking and entertainment firms, Regal Films via a contract renewal today, December 2.

Joining GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon and FVP for Program Management Joey Abacan for the contract signing are Regal Matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde and daughter, Vice President of Regal Films, Roselle Monteverde.
 
“Itong Regal ni Mother Lily has always been known to produce quality movies na talaga namang pinapanood, pumapatok sa ating mga manonood. Kaya isang malaking karangalan sa atin na maging partner ng Regal,” Atty. Gozon claimed. 
 
Mother Lily shares the same excitement in continuing their decades-long commitment with the Kapuso network. She said, “I can say na this is my day with GMA. I’m very happy, and of course I’m very proud to be with GMA. Parang this is a new beginning for me with GMA again, and I’m so happy.” 
 
Plans and projects
 
Mr. Abacan and Ms. Roselle Monteverde also revealed in a media interview the plans of GMA and Regal. This includes more silver screen projects featuring the talented roster of Kapuso artists. 
 
Mr. Abacan said, “We’re very happy because Regal is going to be supplying us with movies. Madalas naman kaming nagpa-partner ng Regal sa GMA Films but this time ‘yung mga pelikula ng Regal hindi na sa isang channel lang lalabas, pati sa GMA na rin, with our stars. We have a lot of plans already. We’ve been talking to Mother Lily and Roselle, and marami talaga kaming gagawing pelikula. At least they’re going to be one of our big suppliers of local movies.” 
 
“Continuous ang partnership namin with GMA, and I’m glad that we renewed today kasi we also have artists from GMA 7… We’re looking forward to produce the movies for these artists. Magagaling kasi sila. I always watch Kapuso shows like Encantadia and Alyas Robin Hood. Talagang nagugustuhan ko ang mga artista ng GMA 7. Magagaling sila,” added Ms. Roselle.
