Dingdong Dantes waited for this day for years, but when he was only minutes away from laying his eyes on his fiancée Marian Rivera for the last time, the moment felt to be the longest.

Today, the Kapuso Primetime Royal Couple tied the knot and started their forever at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral.

Dingdong waited in anticipation. He was calm yet at the same time restless.

A little past 3 P.M., the door that led to the altar opened. And there at the middle was the blushing bride, the Kapuso Primetime Queen a few moments before becoming Mrs. Dantes.

The moment was ethereal as the bride mesmerized their guests in a crystal-studded French lace white gown created by world-renowned fashion designer Michael Cinco.

Her beloved Lola Francisca accompanied her, and then her parents Francisco Javier Gracia and Amalia Rivera joined her as well.

Near the altar, Dingdong graciously received Marian from her parents and the ceremony commenced.

The atmosphere was serene and blissful. The couple’s entourage and guests were both keen to witness and participate in what is dubbed as the wedding of the year.

Dingdong and Marian Rivera rather had a traditional Spanish-themed Catholic wedding.

Eight bishops and seven priests concelebrated the sacrament of holy matrimony with Most Rev. Honesto Ongtioco, DD, Bishop of Cubao.

Most Rev. Teodoro Bacani, DD reminded the couple to love each other eternally and to offer their lives to one another in his homily.

The rite of marriage followed. Finally Dingdong and Marian exchanged their “I dos” and for the first time kissed as Mr. & Mrs. Dantes.

Cheers and sighs resounded in the Church as they witnessed the union of Dingdong and Marian Rivera-Dantes.

Indeed, they are royally meant to be. Congratulations to the Kapuso Primetime King and Queen!
