GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) continues to bring aid to thousands of calamity victims in various areas affected by Tropical Storm Maring and Habagat through its disaster relief program, Operation Bayanihan.

GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) continues to bring aid to thousands of calamity victims in various areas affected by Tropical Storm Maring and Habagat through its disaster relief program, Operation Bayanihan.

As of August 23, the socio-civic arm of broadcast company GMA Network has heeded the call for help 61,050 individuals.

Over the last few days, several teams were deployed to distribute ready-to-eat meals, canned goods, bottled water, clothes and medicine in Bataan, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, Malabon, Marikina, Mandaluyong, Pasay, and Quezon City.

Donations in cash and in kind continue to pour and have already reached 2,412,759.94 and 1,138,417.35, respectively, as of August 22. This was aided by the support generated during the Kapuso Telethon that was immediately conducted during the onslaught of the typhoon.

With the relief operations still ongoing, the Foundation still accepts donations and donors can bring the goods to the Kapuso Foundation Warehouse at #366 GMA Compound, Brgy. Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City or to the GMA Kapuso Foundation office, 2nd Floor, Kapuso Center, GMA Network Drive cor. Samar Streets, Diliman, Quezon City.

GMAKF would like to inform the public that, in addition to those that were previously mentioned, the following are also highly needed: towels, blankets, slippers, laundry detergent, and toiletries such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste and tooth brush.  

Meanwhile, cash donations may be deposited at any Metrobank, UCPB, PNB and Cebuana Lhuiller branch. All donations to the GMA Kapuso Foundation are tax deductible.
