The long wait is over. Thanks to PNoy for the bold action to implement the law, RA 10153 that grants the President the power to ‘reform the ARMM’.  PNoy thought that he waited long enough and ‘enough was enough’. He acted not only deliberately but also with decisiveness to introduce not only cosmetic changes but real changes that seek to re-shape the image of ARMM.

The national government has gifted ARMM with a stimulus package worth 8.5 billion pesos, which can help make some wishes come true.

When the ‘relationship’ between the Executive and the Supreme Court turned sour, PNoy decided to appoint OICs without waiting for the further final settlement of the standing legal issue before the SC. He swore the new OIC Governor and OIC Vice Governor in Malacanan while Northern Mindanao was reeling in disaster due to the flash flood brought by Typhoon Sendong.

I see with great concern the latest direct tirades of PNoy against the Supreme Court of the Philippines.  I may agree with some of PNoy’s criticism of the Supreme Court, but I believe that there is a proper time and a proper forum for what looks and sounds like sour graping.
