PAL revives international fly-all-you-can promo

National flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has revived a fly-all-you-can promo covering 22 regional and international destinations. PAL is again offering the International Fly-All-You-Can Travel Pass, worth $338 for economy and $1,338 for Business Class exclusive of government fees, taxes, fuel surcharge, ticketing service fee, and departure terminal fee, until Sept. 19. The travel pass could be converted into any number of tickets at any PAL ticket office within eight weeks from first travel date. All travels must be completed by December 10. The promo covers 11 regional destinations: Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, Jakarta, Beijing, Shanghai, Bali and Xiamen. Also covered are Cebu, Davao and the route Singapore-Jakarta. Add-on fare PAL is also set to impose round trip add-on fares for those travelling to international routes, including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, Sydney, Melbourne, New Delhi, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, or Cebu to Tokyo. PAL said the promo would provide Fiesta Class passengers with extra perks and added comforts such as free check-in baggage allowance, in-flight snacks or meals, exclusive amenities and more legroom. Mabuhay Class passengers are entitled to ground and inflight services including priority check-in and baggage handling, access to exclusive Mabuhay Lounges at major domestic airports, gourmet meals and amenities of the Mabuhay Class cabin. Earnings PAL is confident that it will be able to sustain its strong earnings in the first quarter of 2012, when it reversed Q1 2011's P475.1 million net loss with a net income of P489.2 million. Revenues also rose 5.8 percent to P20.783 billion ifor the same quarter on the back of higher passenger traffic. The company intends to acquire 100 new aircraft as part of its ongoing major fleet modernization program.
