GMA Network Excellence Award partners with CHED on its 15th year

The GMA Network Excellence Award (GNEA) has been recognizing exemplary graduating students for the past 15 years, honoring their achievements and excellence in leadership, academic performance, and social responsibility.

This year, GNEA will recognize two students—one from the fields of Mass Communication, Multimedia Arts, and Advertising, and one from the fields of Information Technology (IT) and Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE).

According to the program's ambassador Benjamin Alves in an interview on Thursday, “It's always nice to visit campuses... But the highlight of this year is we are expanding the GMA Network Excellence Awards para mas marami pang students ang ma-accommodate namin. This year, for the first time, we're giving out two awards.”

"The very exciting part is mas marami kaming mai-interview this time. Last year, we had five finalists. This time, we have five for each category... Mas maraming awardees, mas maraming mare-recognize, mas marami kaming matutulungan na advocacies from the students,” he added.

GMA Network has added the Commission on Higher Education to its list of partners, including YesPinoy Foundation, Airfreight 2100, Inc., University of the Philippines-Diliman College of Mass Communication, Don Bosco Technical College, and Angeles University Foundation.

There have been 40 recipients of the GNEA, some of whom have been working in different departments of GMA Network.

“Thank you, GMA Network, for this opportunity, I will never forget it. I hope that this inspires the youth to strive hard to do your best in order to serve the Filipino people in the way that you're passionate about,” said 2015 awardee Mari Angelyn Arambulo.
