'Dobol B sa News TV,' RiteMed ink partnership to bring quality service to public

GMA Network's morning news and commentary program, "Dobol B Sa News TV," and RiteMed Philippines Inc. signed a partnership agreement on Thursday to provide quality service to the public.

Radio GMA President Mike Enriquez, Arnold Clavio, and Joel Reyes Zobel led the signing of the memorandum of agreement with RiteMed's General Manager Vincent Patrick Guerrero and Unilab's Senior Vice President Joey Ochave.

According to Guerrero, the partnership reflects GMA's mandate of "Serbisyong Totoo" and RiteMed's commitment to make medicines more accessible and affordable to the public.

"The historic partnership between two industry leaders will allow our countrymen to really gain access to more relevant information in news and health," Guerrero said during a press conference at B Hotel in Quezon City.

"GMA's mandate of 'Serbisyong Totoo' will be further strengthened, led by the people. This further adds trust value to RiteMed's commitment in making quality and affordable medicines and more accessible to the public."

Meanwhile, Enriquez, a GMA News pillar, noted the long and extraordinary partnership between the two.

"Regardless of what form this takes through the years, admittedly this started as a relationship with an advertiser and a media outlet. But through the years, this has become more than a business relationship," Enriquez said.

"RiteMed kasi is what they call an advocacy branding...We are here to help RiteMed tell the story. We are here to help them that there is a RiteMed. Kasi sila and isa sa mga taglines nila, right price. Ang gusto ng RiteMed gumaling lahat ng Pilipino," he added.

"Maraming Pilipinong hindi makabili ng gamot, maraming Pilipino na hindi maka-afford ng decent health care," he emphasized.

Moreover, Guerrero said RiteMed's catchy jingle, "Huwag Mahihiyang Magtanong," has proven to be effective in terms of encouraging consumers to ask pharmacists and drug stores for affordable options without sacrifing quality.

Dobol B Sa News TV successfully launched on GMA News TV Channel 11 last April 24. —KBK, GMA News
