Entrepreneurship teachers training program to be held in November


The Training for Entrepreneurship Educators (TREE) program will be conducted by the Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation (SERDEF) on November 15-17, 2017 at the Enrique Virata Hall, University of the Philippines Institute for Small-Scale Industries (UP ISSI) Bldg., UP Diliman.

The TREE programs conducted regularly by SERDEF are endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

TREE seeks to orient secondary and collegiate level faculty and trainers in schools and non-formal training institutions on the concepts and theories of entrepreneurship using new teaching methods and techniques.

The training participants will benefit from the program which is designed to enhance entrepreneurship educators’ skills in in encouraging and preparing students for an entrepreneurial career.

Sessions for the workshop include the Role of Entrepreneurship in Economic Development; Characteristics and Competencies of the Entrepreneur; Global Trends and Challenges in Entrepreneurship and Business Education; How to Start and Run a Small Business; Effective Teaching Models for Entrepreneurship in Higher Education; The Teaching-Learning Process; and How to Organize On-The-Job Training on Entrepreneurship.

The participation fee for the training program is P3,800, inclusive of the book "Windows to Entrepreneurship: A Teaching Guide" (worth P430), training handouts, Program Certificate, lunch, and snacks.
