7th Heroes Run scheduled for October 7

The Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association – Philippine Army Chapter, Inc. (PMAAA-PACI) will host the 7th Heroes Run on October 7, 2018. 

The Heroes Run will be simultaneously carried out at Metro Manila, Cebu, Tarlac, Bohol, Pagadian, Cagayan de Oro, Catbalogan, Legazpi, Isabela, Baguio, Cotabato and Davao. Another run will be carried out in Iloilo on October 14 at Iloilo City.

The Heroes Run aims to raise awareness on the plight of our soldier-heroes — especially during the Marawi Campaign — their sacrifices and heroism they unselfishly offered for our country and people, and to raise funds for their medical benefits and educational benefits of their dependents.

Since its inception in 2012, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has remained committed to the cause of Heroes Run. This run started as one Marathon leg in Metro Manila. Now, Heroes Run is conducted throughout the Nation with a total of thirteen Marathon legs, all with their own variations. For example, the Cebu leg has their own concept of using the obstacle course, running in teams and other ways of making the run more exciting.

The proceeds of the event will be donated to AFPEBSO and the Hero Foundation, Incorporated. Specifically, to the children of our Heroes who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Marawi. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Commemoration of the 1st Marawi Liberation Anniversary.
