Teen snags porn star prom date via Twitter

In what could be one of the more bizarre cases of Twitter helping people score big deals, the micro-blogging site has helped a Minnesota student score a prom date —with a porn star.

 

But this has presented a new challenge for Mike Stone, 18: raise funds for the plane fare of porn star Megan Piper, who agreed to his request to be his date if he would shoulder those expenses, online news site The Daily Dot said.

 

“I was just thinking of doing something new. I was like, let’s try it out and see if it works. I just think they’re really cute and I wish I had one for a prom date,” Stone told the Daily Dot with some apprehension.

After sending more than 600 tweets, Stone received at least one yes from porn star Piper, who said she would attend as long as he paid to fly her from Los Angeles to Oakdale, Minnesota, for his prom at Tartan High School.

 

But Stone has admitted on Twitter to not having any money for this and has been asking people to help him raise funds.

 

Earlier, Stone had asked other girls from his school but was turned down “because all the guys that I know are already going with them.”

 

“They just say try your best and hopefully someone will say yes. I think it’s kind of nice that I’m getting responses back. I was actually thanking people who are cheering me on and telling me to keep on with it. They keep telling me I’m a legend and a hero,” he said.

 

On the other hand, if he could not get the funding to get Piper to Minnesota, he has a plan.

 

“One of the teachers who works at my school is a security guard. He was telling me, if I brought a girl from a different school or anything, he would help me out and let them in for free,” he said.

 

Topping Stone’s prom date wish list are adult film actresses Eva Angelina, Madelyn Marie, and Bree Olson, who rose to fame after actor Charlie Sheen made her one of his live-in girlfriends and “goddesses.”

The Huffington Post quoted Piper as tweeting Stone, "If you can get me there, then yes :)"

 

"I thought it was really cute, and I thought it would make his night by saying 'yes'," she told The Huffington Post.

 

If she does fly to Minnesota, Piper says she's using the opportunity to shop for a new gown.

 

Another adult film star, Emy Reyes, was honored by Stone's proposal and responded by saying, "Awww that's reappear [sic] hun and i would love tooo."

 

When asked about the possibility of Emy Reyes attending the dance, Piper said she was open to sharing the spotlight with her friend.
