Dog with hack wound saved with netizens’ help

A heavily wounded "asong Pinoy" or "aspin" — a mixed-breed mongrel dog — was rescued by a concerned citizen on Tuesday and later treated at a clinic with the help of netizens.

Cecil Lalog said she found "Whitey" with a hack wound around his body.

Aside from being wounded, Whitey also had difficulty walking upright because of a broken bone.

Lalog posted about Whitey on her Facebook account, and not long after, netizens offered to bring the injured dog to a veterinary clinic.

After Whitey's treatment, Lalog posted photos and updates on the dog's recovery on social media.

Lalog, who expressed her gratitude for those who volunteered to help, said Whitey has been recovering fast and eating normally after being treated. The dog remains under observation at the clinic. — Marlly Rome Bondoc/MDM, GMA News
