Bette Midler calls Duterte 'murderous dictator' who 'serenaded' Trump
American singer-actress Bette Midler on Tuesday called President Rodrigo Duterte a "murderous dictator" after he sang a song at a gala dinner attended by United States President Donald Trump in Pasay City.
"Murderous dictator Duterte serenaded Trump with a Filipino love song," Midler said in a post on her Twitter account.
Duterte sang "Ikaw," a popular Filipino love song, saying he did so at the request of Trump at the gala dinner for the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit .
Midler was also believed to be referencing to Russian President Vladimir Putin in her tweet by adding "Vlad, somebody’s tryin' to steal your man!"
