Dingdong Dantes weighs in on the kiss ‘done in a professional manner’
On Twitter, Dingdong Dantes weighed in on a statement meant to defend the controversial kiss of President Rodrigo Duterte .

Kaya’t huwag dapat ihambing gamit ang ganiyang argumento,” read his quick followup.
As actors, we are accountable to our viewers, our producers and the manner of delivering the story. Aba’y ibang usapan yan kapag public official ka. Kaya’t huwag dapat ihambing gamit ang ganiyang argumento.

Dingdong’s two-part tweet was a reaction to a tweet by National Youth Commissioner Perci Cendana, who, without naming any names, apologized for not understanding a statement and said, “paki-explain po, paano po yung kiss ‘done in a professional way’?”
Sir, sorry po. Hindi ko po talaga ma-gets.

Paki-explain po, paano po yung kiss “done in a professional way”?
Yesterday, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian defended the actions of the president, kissing a married Filipino in front of a crowd at an official event, by saying there was nothing wrong with it as long as the act is done in a professional way.
“I would like to compare this sa mga artista dahil may mga artista na may asawa but they also have kissing scenes in their movies, I ntheir TV shows. So I think as long as it’s kept professional and there’s an understanding within the partners then siguro pwede nilang gawin yun.” — LA, GMA News
