QC Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte apologizes to Kris Aquino

QC Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte didn’t know what offended and drove Kris Aquino to tweet and tag a paper owned by Belmonte’s family but the good vice mayor took it upon herself to settle matters.

“I apologise profusely to Kris for whatever it is that offended her. Am still trying to find the article she is referring to because I haven’t read it, and I’m sorry too that she thinks I have something to do with it, or that whatever squabble she may have with the reporter that wrote the offending article has something to do with me,” reads a portion of Vice Mayor Belmonte’s Facebook update.

Joy set the record straight: “I do not know what she is talking about but I apologize for any offence taken by her.”

On the since-deleted tweet, Kris called out the Belmontes and said there was no need for them to take her down as she just signed a new contract that had a no political participation clause. “So safe na safe ang QC. P.S. next time a little more subtlety – halata tuloy na insecure,” Kris ended her tweet.
