Tickets to Miss Universe 2016 to cost between P8,000 to P50,000

Tickets for the Miss Universe 2016 pageant which will be held in the Philippines in January 2017 will be available starting December 20, 2016 and will cost between P8,000 to P50,000, Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo said Monday.

“The sales of the ticket will start on December 20. The tickets will be more or less $1000, or about P50,000. That’s for the VIP. For the general admission, it will probably be around $160, more or less, or about P8,000. That’s the cheapest,” Teo said at a press conference.

Tickets will be available via TicketNet, Teo added.

“Book and buy ‘yan. Once you book, you have to buy right away. There will be no reservations,” she said.

The pageant will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 30, 2017.

Eight days before the start of the selling of tickets to the public, only about 200 VIP tickets are left for sale as several Miss Universe representatives are set to watch the pageant in the Philippines.

   Tour packages   

Aside from the chance to watch the Miss Universe live, the public will also be given an opportunity to avail Miss Universe tour packages.

Made with the balikbayans in mind, these tour packages will include Manila and several provinces.

“The packages will not only be for Manila, it will also include Davao, Cebu, all the provinces. There will also be a Legazpi package, Palawan package, and more,” Teo said.

The Miss Universe tour packages are expected to be finalized next week, Teo added. —KBK, GMA News
