Fête de la Musique returns with over 100 artists on 30 stages

Ready to party or looking to chill? Whichever the case, there's bound to be a perfect fit for you at Fête de la Musique 2017, happening on June 17 across Makati City.

This year, the festival brings together over a hundred artists on two main stages and in pocket venues for every genre imaginable.

Musical O, Goodleaf, similarobjects x Jess Conelly, Wilderness x Heresy, Baihana, Brigada with Flow Arts, Tukar Sinati featuring Radha, Joey Ayala with Planet Zips, Encore!, and Apartel lead the main stage in A-Venue.

In neighboring Greenbelt 3, Ourselves the Elves, Oh Flamingo!, Brat Pack, Toni B., Tandems '91, Taken by Cars, Chocolate Grass, Kat Agarrado, BP Valenzuela, and Tarsius are headlining.

Plan ahead, as there are a dizzying number of pocket stages to visit — Monk's Dream, H&J, B-Side, Saguijo, Kahuna Bar, The Studio, Time, Pura Vida, Mang Rudy's, A Space, Cabin, 121 Alegro, Z Hostel, Acceler8, Woodman's Head, Alchemy, Finders Keepers, The Belle & Dragon, Black Market, The Social on Ebro, 1018 Bar, XX XX & 20 20, Aloha, I'm Hotel, Bar Mathilde, Café Liberted, Century Mall, Boiler Room, Red Rabbit, and Dulo MNL.

The Indie Stage at Century City Mall features several favorites, including tide/edit, Fools and Foes, Ang Bandang Shirley, and MOONWLK.

End Stage at Dulo MNL, meanwhile, offers laughs care of Comedy Manila and Deus Sex Machina, something raunchy from Burlesque PH, and a bit of slam courtesy of White Wall Poetry.

If spoken word is your thing, there's more for you at Café Liberted — you can even participate, as an open mic is part of the program.

But: Don't be afraid to wander into genres that don't make it to your playlists. Find out why Sebastian from "La La Land" is obsessed with jazz, check out the local hiphop scene (don't forget to dance!), find out if punk is really not dead, and see if you'll find yourself experiencing enlightenment with eclectic music.

Fête de la Musique 2017 moves to Makati on June 23 and in Palawan on June 24.

Ben&Ben, Outerhope, Sud, We Are Imaginary, Ang Bandang Shirely, Ron Henley, Jensen & the Flips, Bras Pas Pas Pas Pas x Switchtrick x B-boy Garcia, Autotelic, and Kjwan will be playing at Intramuros for the Manila leg.

Meanwhile, Kitchie Nadal, Kjwan, Gin Rum and Truth, Calebral, Bonifacio Republic, Black Wolf, Gypsies, Hey Moonshine, Good and Bad, Tommy's Hound Circus, Lovecore, Watching Scenes, Blue Ballz, Jerry Brownstone, Team Palawakan, Bugs and Roots, Woopis, Wateber, Ryolodia, Raptured Faith, and Flipside will be playing at the Palawan Main Stage (Cory Park Provincial Capitol Complex).
