36th National Book Awards winners announced
The National Book Development Board of the Philippines and the Manila Critics Circle on Friday announced the winners of the 36th National Book Awards, honoring some of the best books published in 2016.
NBDB and MCC announced the full lists of the finalists in September. All literary entries were screened by eight category experts while five judged the non-literary division.
Five MCC members and five judges nominated by the NBDB were chosen to vote for the competition. Winners of each category, except Publisher of the Year, will receive P15,000 in cash prize.
