Miss Intercontinental 1st runner-up Katarina Rodriguez arrives in Manila

Filipino beauty queen Katarina Rodriguez arrived in Manila on Tuesday morning, after spending almost a month in Egypt for the Miss Intercontinental pageant, where she was crowned 1st runner up of Miss Intercontinental on January 24.

Her flight landed at Terminal 2 around 8am.

Katarina said she had no regrets with her performance and was in fact very happy and proud with her final answer during the Q&A portion of the pageant.

During the pageant, Katarina was asked what the most important lesson she learned participating in Miss Intercontinental.

She answered:

"The most important thing that I have learned while participating in this beauty pageant is actually an Arabic word, which is actually named after one of the Sunrise Resorts. It's called meraki. It means to do all things with passion, soul, and creativity. When I heard this word and the definition, it resonated with me, until now and for the rest of my life. Therefore, that is the most important thing that I've learned while participating in this pageant. Meraki, to do all things with soul, passion, and creativity. Thank you."

According to the report, Katarina said she doesn’t have any bad blood with reigning Miss Intercontinental Veronica Salas Vallejo from Mexico. — LA, GMA News
