‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ final trailer offers exhilarating ride

The battle between opposing ideologies takes a grander scale in the sequel to the critically acclaimed "Harry Potter" spin-off "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) is back and, unfortunately, so is the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).

Having escaped from the MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), Grindelwald pursues his plan to recruit pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings.

Joining Redmayne and Depp is Jude Law, who will play a young Albus Dumbledore.

"The Crimes of Grindelwald" also stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and Poppy Corby-Tuech.

Check out the character posters released with the final trailer:
