Inday Sara, Pulong greet Duterte a ‘Happy Father’s Day’


The children of President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday shared their Father's Day greetings to him and other dads on their respective social media pages.

Davao City Mayor Sara "Inday Sara" Duterte shared a photo of her father with his grandchildren, writing "Fathers are never perfect, only human."

"[President Rodrigo Duterte], Paolo, Baste, Mans [Carpio], our officers, soldiers, policemen, drivers, professors, doctors, lawyers, [Presidential Security Group] and every other Filipino father, we appreciate your effort and sacrifice for your respective families. May you all enjoy your day. " she continued.

In jest, she added, "Don't drink and drive today we all need our fathers to be healthy and safe, kelangan namin pera ninyo!"

 

Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo "Pulong" Duterte, meanwhile, shared a graphic of his father as a superhero and likened great parenting to a super power.

"HAPPY FATHER'S DAY sa akong Superman, SuperBrod Mans Carpio, SuperBai Sebastian "Baste" Duterte (kay cgeg lakbai), sa tanang amahan maana-a dri o sa laing nasud... ug sa atong mga GREATEST SUPERHEROES na way puas na gaprotekta ug gasakripisyo alang natong tanan, ang atong mga KASUNDALUHAN UG KAPULISAN, nga hangtud karon gaatubang sa gyera. DAGHANG SALAMAT sa inyo. Ang among utang kabubut-on dili namo kalimtan," he wrote.

(Happy Father's Day to my Superman,  SuperBrod Mans Carpio, SuperBai Sebastian "Baste" Duterte (because he is always on a trip), to all fathers here and abroad ... and to our GREATEST SUPERHEROES who are relentless in their efforts to protect and are sacrificing for all of us, our soldiers and police personnel who are in the middle of war. Thank you very much. We won't forget our debt of gratitude.)
