Innovative Pastry Chef Miko Aspiras continues to amaze with delicious kitchen creations. In his Japanese-French concept, Le Petit Soufflé, there’s a cake that’s to-die-for: Pili & Cashew Nut Cheesecake (P1,500/10 slices). This egg custard cheesecake is topped with homemade pili and cashew nut butter, and simply but beautifully garnished with vanilla cream. The Banana Cue (P120) is also worth a try. It’s a playful take on the common street fare but this cooler version makes use of over-ripened banana cake dipped in milk chocolate and almonds, with fresh banana pieces inside.
