Flower-themed restaurants in Metro Manila that will feed, refresh, and relax you

If the city is getting you down, pop into any one of these restaurants in Metro Manila. They’re decorated with so much flowers and plants it’s impossible to remain stressed, sorry, or hateful.

Unang Hirit on Monday listed three restaurants but because we're feeling extra on this Wednesday, we decided to make it into a five-point list!

1. The Coffee Project. Are those Lily of the Valley flowers hanging from the ceiling? Or are they Sampaguita? Whatever they are, they’re pretty, and together with the nice rustic décor, make us feel like we were in an English countryside.

“We wanted an oasis, like an escape. Pag pasok mo, magugulat ka puro flowers and you can’t help na pagpasok mo marerelax ka,” Jessica Naguit of The Coffee Project QC tells Unang Hirit on Monday. The Coffee Project is a small chain of coffee shops located in various cities in Luzon, including Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Las Pinas, Imus in Cavite, and San Fernando in Pampanga. The Coffee Project QC: Vista Place Tenant 107 E Eugenio Lopez Drive Brgy South Triangle. Sun-Thurs 7am-12am, Fri & Sat 7am-1am. +63929 5782993

2. Alegria

A Latin American joint that is also a sangria bar, Alegria goes floral by featuring edible flowers right in their dishes. The fajita moderna for instance, a steak fajita that features mashed potatoes, mango salsa, chimichuri, is garnished with the popular Butterfly Pea. 4/F C3 Annex (Uniqlo Bldg), 7th Ave, BGC. M-Sat 5pm - 3am. +63945 2647828

3. Flossom Kitchen and Café

Walls of green plants and flowers — styled by none other than famed florist Teddy Manuel — greet visitors of Flossom Kitchen and Café, rendering the San Juan restaurant super Instagrammable and rather Tita-friendly. Named after an importer and distributor of Taiwanese orchids and florals, Flossom offers all-day breakfast and comfort food that also feature edible flowers. N. Averilla, San Juan. M-T 8am-10pm, F-Sun 8am-11pm.  +632 3566900

4. TCB Flower Café

Do you ever feel thirsty whenever you’re customizing a bouquet? Drop by TCB Flower Café in Pasig then. TCB Flower Café is a flower shop and a café in one. Here, you can have a coffee — or their house special, Bingsu — while you order a customized bouquet or floral arrangement.

5. Happy Garden Café

Plant-loving millennials will surely take to Happy Garden Café, a spacious, well-lit joint on Jupiter that features lots and lots and lots of plants and flowers. The walls are lined with shelves on which plants are situated, bright yellow pillows accentuate the white sofas, while carts of flowers act as dividers to the wide dining area. It’s really all so beautiful. Sunshine Place, # 56 Jupiter Street, Bel-Air. 11am-10pm. +632 8245440
