Cebu’s favorite Rico’s Lechon is coming to Metro Manila

Rico’s Lechon innovated the already incredible Cebu Lechon when it introduced the Spicy variant in the 90s. Since then, the Cebu lechon scene has never been the same, with Rico’s becoming one of Cebu’s bests.

Fast forward to 2018 and  Rico’s Lechon is coming to Manila. It was recently acquired by Meat Concepts Corporation, affiliated with operators of BGC restaurants Ogawa Traditional Japanese Restaurant, KPub BBQ, Thai BBQ, OPPA Chicken, Modern China and the long-standing Tony Romas franchise.

According to Meat Concepts Corp. President George Pua, Rico’s Lechon is the first Filipino brand in their portfolio. “I’ve been a patron of Rico’s Lechon for years and personally believe it’s the best. We want to be able to have Cebuanos take pride in sharing this with the rest of the country,” he added.

According to the press statement, the owners of Rico’s Lechon are close friends with Pua. They will be hands-on during the transition period.

Meat Concepts Corp are eyeing nine locations for Rico’s Metro Manila expansion including BGC in Taguig, Tiendesitas and Portico in Pasig, Glorietta in Makati, Cloverleaf Mall and UP Town in Quezon City, Ayala Feliz in Marikita, and Ayala Macapal and Blue Bay Walk in Pasay.

In its website, Rico's Lechon confirmed five locations in Metro Manila:

  1. Fort Strip, BGC
  2. Top of the Glo in Glorietta 1, Makati
  3. Tiendesitas, Pasig
  4. Cloverleaf in Balintawak, QC
  5. and UP Town Center.
