Boys and girls, you can shelve those unforgiving skinny jeans for now

If you never really got the hang of those unforgiving skinny jeans, we’ve good news for you boys and girls. Skinny jeans are over and out – at least for this trend cycle.

According to fashion designer Christine Lam, the ‘90s trend is coming back strong. “For the boys, denim jackets, simply white tees. Graphic prints, camo – very grunge. For pants, uso ngayon ay baggy so ipasang-tabi muna natin ang sknny jeans,” Lam said on Unang Hirit Wednesday. She added jogger pants and boyfriend jeans should be hot commodities as well.

Though baggy pants are in, it’s not quite the same as the ‘90s. “Cuffs are higher, pundilo lang yung maluwag. More on comfort, pero may structure pa rin.”

For the ladies, Lam says “it’s still grunge but very ladylike.” Loose bitin pants are recommended, while frilly tops enjoy the thumbs up too. “The frills are a good way to add something to your outfit.”

You might want to add colors and prints to your agenda, but remember: the biggest thing in fashion is comfort. “Slip on shoes, pinanglalabas na ngayon, diba?”
