Uniqlo's Fall/Winter 2018 collection will make you want to book a flight pronto


For its Fall-Winter 2018 collection, Japanese retail brand Uniqlo marries comfort, style, functionality, and even technology.

It launched its Fall/Winter 2018 collection with an exclusive preview at Whitespace Manila in Makati City, introducing new pieces by Christian Lemaire's team which features not only attractive vivid fall and winter palette (think: mustard yellow, blue, light pink, beige, red, brown and gray) but also innovative functionalities.

Here are some of the collection's contemporary and functional stylish ensembles that suit every kind of travel.

For travelling somewhere wet: Blocktech coats

This one's perfect if you are traveling somewhere wet as their Blocktech coats have water-repellent function that will keep you dry. It also has a thin windbreaking film that keeps the wind from spiking the ensemble. And because the material is both stretchable and breathable, it can also double as sportswear — or athleisure as people call it these days.

For traveling somewhere cold: Ultra Light Down Seamless Parka

While it's hot in the Philippines, it's fall, spring, or winter elsewhere and if you're planning to travel somewhere cold, the Ultra Light Down Seamless Parka will do its job.

It can be both worn as outerwear or as an inner layer. Check out the collar, which can be worn in two styles: fold it back can create shallow or deep v-necks.

While Uniqlo developed high-technology clothing that undoubtedly warms the wearer for cold days, the team also designed a collection that will get you through hot days. The material used for the AIRism collection releases heat and moisture that can adapt to temperature to help your body stay cool in a countries with unpredictable weather. Sounds perfect for the Philippines and countries with similar weather, doesn't it?

The AIRism provided different types to accommodate every occasion, for instance they have the Jersey for daily use, Mesh for active days and gym buffs and the Seamless type meant to be worn as undergarment.


Aside from these, the collection will also feature 3D knits made with special spinning technique, Fleece, Ezy Jeans, Ezy Ankle Pants, a collection for kids and babies and the UT or its graphic t-shirt brand this time featuring authentic pop culture including Disney's Mickey mouse, The Game by Namco Museum, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and Studio Sanderson.
