PAL extends free rebooking to flood-stranded passengers

Flag-carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Thursday said it has extended the free rebooking fees to passengers affected by rain and flood that continued to overwhelm most of Luzon including Metro Manila.   This means passengers can reschedule their flights without additional costs "until today [Thursday], but contingent to improving weather conditions," PAL corporate communications officer Cielo Villaluna, told GMA News Online.   Rebooking, however, is subject to the availability of fares and class seats, the airline said in an emailed statement.    The waiver of rebooking fees applies to passengers flying in and out of Manila and passing through PAL domestic and international stations, Villaluna said in the statement.   Manila-bound passengers canceling their flights due to bad weather may also rebook their flights without additional charges.   Despite inclement weather, PAL flights are operating at normal levels, Villaluna noted, saying however that passengers should expect delays in flight schedules. — Patricia Chiu/VS, GMA News
