Cebu Pacific to start flights to Bali in 2013

Cebu Pacific, the country’s largest national flag carrier, will start having flights to Bali (Denpasar), Indonesia, from Manila on March 16, 2013.   According to Candice Iyog, CEB’s VP for marketing and distribution, the Manila-Bali service will be every Tuesday and Saturday. It will depart Manila at 4 a.m. and arrive in Bali at 7:50 a.m. The return flight will depart Bali at 8:35 a.m. and arrive in Manila at 12:25 p.m.   To introduce this route, CEB offers a P888 seat sale from Manila to Bali from November 20 to 23, 2012, or until seats last. This is for travel from March 16 to June 30, 2013. After the sale period, lowest year-round fares for Bali start at P3,499, which is up to 38 percent lower than other airlines. “Passengers now have more choices when traveling on CEB’s extensive Southeast Asian network, since we are also the only airline flying from Manila to Hanoi and Siem Reap, and the only low-cost carrier flying from Manila to Kota Kinabalu,” Iyog said Tuesday. Bali will be CEB’s 20th international destination and its second destination in Indonesia after Jakarta, where it operates a four times weekly service, Iyog said. The most popular tourism destination in Indonesia, Bali has been ranked by BBC Travel, Lonely Planet and Travel&Leisure Magazine as among the world’s best islands. Presently, CEB flies to 19 international destinations: Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon, Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Shanghai, Siem Reap, Singapore, Taipei and Xiamen. CEB currently operates 10 Airbus A319, 22 Airbus A320 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. Its fleet of 40 aircraft – with an average age of 3.6 years – is the largest aircraft fleet in the Philippines.  Between 2012 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 19 more Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders.
