Special Ad Feature: New San Jose Builders to boost Manuel L. Quezon University's production of nationalistic graduates

An effective academic institution is one that nurtures its students’ abilities to become movers and shakers, not just in the corporate, academic or artistic setting, but also in public service. If an institution’s success lies in the achievements of its students, then Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU), the newest acquisition of the New San Jose Builders, Inc. (NSJBI) will continue to reap glory, now that a new leadership is boosting the school’s prowess in producing commendable members of the society.

Founded in 1947, MLQU is a learning institution that follows the principles of the great Manuel Luis Quezon, “father of social justice” and former President of the Philippine Commonwealth. It concentrates on training nationalistic, competent, educated and upright Filipinos imbued with a spirit of selflessness and committed service to society, through quality education and training that is sustainable. To date, it continues to set itself as an institution that is quality-driven, affordable, research-oriented, innovative and student-friendly.

Roster of excellence

MLQU is home to significant personalities who have already contributed to the country through the university's excellent training. These names include Justices from the Supreme Court namely Venicio T. Escolin, Isagani Cruz, Jose Melo, Jose Vitug, Leonardo Quisumbing, Ruben Reyes and Martin Villarama; and Cabinet Members Sedfrey Ordonez, Ricardo Puno Sr., Artemio Tuquero, and Rosalinda Baldoz. Former senator WigbertoTanada and Wenceslao Lagumbay, former Manila Mayor Antonio Villegas and former Foreign Affairs secretary Alberto Romulo are also notable alumni of the university, as well as Mariano Flormata who was recently recognized for winning Mr. International 2014. In addition, Police Senior Inspectors John Gary Erana, Max Jim R. Tria, and Rennie L. Tayrus, heroes from the revered “Fallen 44”, were trained in the nationalistic ideals of the Manuel L. Quezon University.

Building Foundations of the Future

Now, the future of MLQU looks even more promising, with New San Jose Builders Inc. owning the university. The Filipino-owned real estate development firm can further strengthen the foundation of the academic institution, for the company’s vision is to understand the Filipino’s dreams and struggles and to use that understanding to build homes every Filipino can proudly call as his own. This nationalistic vision is what sets the company apart from the other players in the industry. Pair that with the university’s “For Country and Law” motto, and every student to set foot in MLQU will be unstoppable.

The acquisition of MLQU gives NSJBI another mission. They are going beyond building dream homes by aiming to produce more change-makers of the country. The company aims to continue MLQU’s tradition of academic excellence and compassion for learning, and to make sure that MLQU can provide quality yet affordable education for the Filipino people.

"We commit to help build the legacy that we want to retain for MLQU. We are building the legacy of excellence, the legacy of greatness, and the legacy of becoming an outstanding institution," says NSJBI co-chairman and MLQU president Dr. IsaganiGermar.

Its project portfolio includes housing and recreational facilities, with the addition of the Philippine Arena, the world's largest indoor arena located in Bulacan, and the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, an admired tourist spot in Bataan that exemplifies Filipino artistry and craftsmanship.
