Jollibee banks on 59-M Globe subscribers to gain more orders via free delivery calls


Jollibee Foods Corp. is banking on the 59-million subscribers of Globe Telecom to gain more orders nationwide via a national hotline.

Globe Telecom Inc. and Jollibee Foods Corp. on Monday announced a partnership to boost the information technology (IT) and national delivery services of the fast food chain.

Globe said its 59 million subscribers will now be able to call Jollibee's delivery number #8-7000 for free.

The free delivery calls will also be made available to JFC subsidiaries "soon" including Burger King via #22222, Greenwich through #55555, Mang Inasal on #71111, and Chowking via #98888.

"Nowadays, more and more technological innovations are coming out, and of course we are looking forward to maximize this so our customers can benefit more," Jollibee vice president for National Business Channels Manjie Yap said.

“With this new partnership with Globe Business, we will be able to bring the convenience of one nationwide delivery hotline to more customers," Yap added.

"We aim to continuously improve and look for new solutions that help address business pain points and drive further collaboration with our customers," Globe Business senior vice president Peter Maquera noted.

Jollibee shares closed at P242.60 per share on Monday, down P1.20 or 0.49 percent from P243.80 on Friday.
